Terms of Use

Myndgard Discover · Version 1 · Effective 14 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Myndgard Discover app and website (the "Service"), operated by Myndgard Limited ("Myndgard", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.

Myndgard Discover is an educational programme. It does not diagnose, treat or provide advice about any medical or mental-health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care, for your university's counselling service, or for emergency services. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services or use the crisis support screen in the app.

1. Who can use the Service

The Service is made available to students of universities and colleges that have licensed it from Myndgard. You need an email address at a participating institution to create an account, and you must be at least 16 years old. Your institution decides whether and for how long the programme is available to its students; if its licence ends, your access may end with it and we will tell you in advance where we can.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@myndgard.com if you think someone else has used it. You may delete your account at any time from Settings in the app.

3. What the Service is, and is not

The Service provides a structured programme of short reading and audio modules, optional check-ins and reflections, exercises and quizzes on the subject of emotions and everyday wellbeing. The content is general educational material and is not tailored to your individual circumstances. Nothing in the Service creates a clinical, therapeutic or care relationship between you and Myndgard or your university.

We do not monitor what you write in check-ins or reflections, and nobody will contact you in response to them. If you write something that indicates you need help, that message will not be seen by anyone. Please use the crisis support screen, your university's support service, or emergency services instead.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service in a way that breaks the law, to attempt to access another person's account or data, to interfere with the operation or security of the Service, or to copy, scrape or redistribute the programme content other than for your own personal use.

5. Content and intellectual property

The programme content, design and software are owned by Myndgard or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them through the Service for as long as you have an account. Anything you write in the Service remains yours; you grant us only the licence we need to store it, show it back to you and provide the Service.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or update the programme content and features from time to time, and may suspend the Service for maintenance. If we make a material change to these terms we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, the Service is provided "as is" for educational purposes; we do not warrant that it will meet your needs or produce any particular outcome, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the content in place of professional advice.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where your institution's licence has ended, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
